Reverend George P. Ettorre Council
#13662 is a Parish based Council founded at Saint Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Norristown, PA in 2004.
I was pleased to be a Charter Member when it was founded by Jim Cahill and Father Trautner, Pastor of St. Francis. Fr.
T was our first Chaplin, Jim was the first Grand Knight, and I was the first Treasurer. Thanks Jim . . . we had some
really good times serving the parish, school and community.

Father Joseph C. Tomko Assembly #934 was originally
based at the Camelot Ballroom facility in Bridgeport PA when I got my Fourth Degree in 2005. The building was owned
by the Knights of Columbus, but a few years later they sold it, and the Assembly moved its meetings to the Pius IX Council
Home in Lansdale, PA. Jim Cahill was instrumental in making that move, when he was the Faithful Navigator.

I had a pretty good year leading the Council
as Grand Knight in 2010 - thanks to all the Knights who stepped up and chaired committees and worked at the events .

My GK term ran from 7/1/2009 to 6/30/2010. Although we have a
small Council, we added 4 new members and 1 insurance member; for a total of 29 regular members and 10 insurance
members. I was focused on
getting members to work on their degrees. We had 4 get their 1st degree; 4 get their 2nd;
5 get their 3rd; and one get his 4th. We continued our usual
service to The Ladies of St. Francis, helping them with their Feast of St. Francis, their Christmas Bazaar, and helping at
the annual Carnival, etc. We supported the St. Vincent de Paul Society. We continued our annual "K of C Altar Server Awards" and
our annual "K of C Service Awards" for a boy and girl at SFA school, a U.S. Saving Bond and high end calculator. We made contributions/donations to several important programs, i.e. "Special Olympics" at Villanova University, the
“Arc PA” campaign, The Senior Sisters of St. Joseph, and the Sisters of Charity Shelter. We
conducted a few new projects: • "Saint
John Vianney Relic Tour" for our SFA Church • "K of C Free Throw Championship" for our SFA School kids • "Christmas
Caroling" event for shut-ins at Jefferson Apartments • "Crab
Cake Fundraiser" for our Council treasury We contributed to and worked at the Annual Nun's Christmas
Party of Montgomery County, now sponsored by our Fr. Tomko Assembly. All in all, my term was
a pretty busy and successful year, thanks to all the guys who pitched in! kp

Fr. T wanted a new organ for the longest time.
